Doorlock Homes is one of the characters in the video game LEGO City Undercover.

Description[]

Doorlock Homes has a dark tan printed torso with yellow hands. His torso represents a jacket with a large collar and five buttons on it. The jacket has light tan stripes running across it along with a few light maroon stripes, as well as maroon stripes running from top to bottom. He has dark grey pants, and a deerstalker cap with a light tan and maroon stripes on the sides. He has a curious expression and dark grey sideburns. The detective comes with a dark grey magnifying glass.

Overall, Doorlock Homes is nearly identical to the Detective. However, his dark tan clothes are slightly darker than the Detective's sand yellow, while his pants are grey instead of sand yellow. Despite their overt similarities, they are apparently separate characters, with both Doorlock Homes and the Detective being individual playable characters.

Background[]

Doorlock Homes works in the LEGO City Police Department. During Marion Dunby's briefing on the Rex Fury case, Homes corrects Dr. Whatsit by pointing out that Fury would have been in elementary school at six years old, and they both chuckle.

Doorlock Homes can be unlocked as a playable character. Like other police, he can use the grapple gun and have full access to the communicator's scanning functions, allowing him to search for clues and investigate robbers.

Notes[]

  • Doorlock Homes' name is a pun on Sherlock Holmes, a famous fictional detective. His quote "Elementary, my dear fellow" while conversing with Dr. Whatsit further references one of Sherlock's famous quotes, as well as his relationship with Dr. Watson.
