Background[]

A medical doctor and former member of the British army in Victorian-era London, England, Dr. John Watson is the best friend and biographer of Sherlock Holmes. Though not Holmes' equal in matters of deduction, Watson often assists Sherlock by helping to prompt the detective's own mental powers. As the pair often encounter dangerous criminals, Watson is also a useful ally due to his physical prowess.
