Finding Jay gone, the other Ninja remove the motherboard from the Prime Empire cabinet, and discover Jay's fate from a nearby security camera. Unsure how to proceed, the five of them go to police headquarters to interrogate the Mechanic, only to learn that game cabinets all over Ninjago City are transforming into Prime Empire. As the Mechanic gleefully anticipates the fulfillment of Unagami's plans, the Ninja resolve to find Prime Empire's creator: Milton Dyer. Using the Destiny's Bounty 3.0, they travel to Dyer Island, the reclusive programmer's private retreat.
The grounds of Dyer's mansion prove to be heavily secured, but the Ninja manage to disable the various defense systems. They are then greeted by Bob, Dyer's intern, who informs them that Dyer hasn't been seen in a number of years. Having been fired by the company he made games for after altering Prime Empire without permission, Dyer became embittered, and Bob's account convinces the Ninja that he has become Unagami. Back in Ninjago City, other players are enjoying Prime Empire, only to receive the same ominous invitation to "enter" the game as Jay did.
Spoilers end here.
