Eric Savin was the driver and bodyguard of Aldrich Killian and abused the Extremis virus for his own uses. He attacked Happy Hogan to the point of landing Hogan in the hospital. He led the attack on Tony Stark's Malibu mansion. He donned the stolen Iron Patriot suit to board Air Force One and kidnap President Ellis, which he was succesful, despite Iron Man's best efforts to stop it. He later attacked Tony when he was hiding out in Rose Hill, but Tony managed to defeat him.
- He is one of the two Super Heroes minifigures to have a glow-in-the-dark head; the other is Aldrich Killian.
- On the back of the Iron Man 3 comic book, he is shown to be holding an ADU gun, despite the fact that he doesn't come with one in the set. Also it appears that he has black hair, not brown.
- Eric Savin was named the Extremis Soldier to avoid spoilers of what happened to Savin before the Iron Man 3 film release.
- In Iron Man 3, Eric Savin is played by James Badge Dale, who also plays Dan Reid in The Lone Ranger.
