Part 4518 is the forked lifting aparatus for minifigure-scale forklifts. It contains a spring, which is compressed when the forks are pressed down and will return them to the elevated position once they are released. There are two sets of triple prongs on the back, to allow it to be mounted on a vehicle via a pair of Part 4276 pieces. It has not appeared since the 1980s, indicating either retirement, or that the molds used to cast the separate sub-pieces are too damaged to use.
