6217 Surge is a Hero Factory set released in January 2012. This set contains 39 pieces.

Description

Mark Surge, lightning hero of Hero Factory, returns to the set waves in neon green and bright blue. He sports two silver shock tower shields on his shoulders, his previous Rise of the Rookies helmet, a lightning shooter with a blue blade, turned now into a sword, handcuffs, and a plasma gun with a green sphere. A transparent cord with a blue inner runs from his back to his lightning sword. A white Hero Core with a light grey base is stuck by two bars onto his body armour, coloured blue with yellow lightning bolts. His handcuffs are connected to a black Exo-Force robot hand on his right thigh armour.

Background

Surge is competitive, hot-tempered and clumsy. During the battles against Von Nebula and his minions, he was recognised by Stormer as a full-fledged Hero. He secretly believes that he was built with a flaw that will make him turn evil.

Surge can be a real crackling live-wire with a lightning fuse and defiant nature. Furno, Surge and Breez are the three newest models produced and each of them has some experimental parts that require careful scrutiny. The last thing a young edgy guy like Surge wants is some science geek around all the time studying his reactions. But as Furno always points out, if you want to make full Hero you’ve gotta play by the rules. For Surge this is way easier said than done. He’s full of good intentions until something sets him off and he seems to go blank on long-term goals and just be consumed by the emotions of the moment.
