PLOT:

Cragger's army continues to pursue both Eris and Laval. the young crocodile king commanding their enemy's retreat to be invalid, his troops then going all out with their blasters. the 2 friends dodge most of them, but get shot down.

Lagravis on the other hand is awakened from his trance in fright, to the sound of gunfire and the rumbling of earth.

Eris and Laval stand up, only to see their luck being run dry as Cragger's army gets closer. but before they're trampled, the Lion army comes to the rescue and meets the foe on the battlefield, sparing no time to fire off at them before they even got out their weapons, this lets Laval and Eris to escape, before a wolf vehicle manages to go through the Lion's frontiers and gain speed on them. Gorzan is luckily already there, equipped with his Gorilla Striker to punch the Wolf right into the air. the Beavers go to clean up the mess. Gorzan then reinforces his 2 friends with some chi, allowing them to escape with the word "totally!".

the best friends charge themselves up while running, being interrupted again by a Raven Jet. with her power, Eris flies to face him and sends the Jet flying through one swing of her weapon, the Raven inside escaping when saying "watch the merchandise!".

Laval quickly goes up the stairs of the Lion Temple, breathing and letting out a roar for backup to all his allies. the Eagles and the Gorillas are quick to spring into action, the bears however, like always, go back to sleep.

with the knowledge of reinforcements coming, an annoyed Cragger sends away a fleet of Ravens and reminds the Rhino's on their job to try stop the Gorrila's before they join a "praises he forgot" Rogon.

Laval looks upon all the chaos, first on the main battle, the Rhino's going into the woods and then the fleet of Ravens and Eagles going at it in the skies. suddenly, his eyes catch the likes of the mysterious hidden face speedor racer himself, Shadowind. Laval being confused on what the legendary racer would want to do with anything outside of the track. like always, Shadowind doesn't make his full intention clear but to just watch a battle.

a battle of which Cragger's army was losing. all their troops being forced to retreat while their vehicles are scattered everywhere by incoming fire. before they're marched on though, Cragger commands the whole army to charge themselves up with Chi. so after reassuring his comrades that they'll have more chi soon, dust spreads everywhere as soon as he sparks up his power.

then after a simple "uh oh" from Laval, Cragger's army, open fires a big round of red to their enemy. heavily damaging their flanks by pushing their vehicles all the way back to their city walls. Rogon being caught in the crossfire and pushed all the way to Eris, all he does next is chuckle to a blushing Eagle. the destruction still continues, Laval falling over and the Eagles coming in hot for the rescue, but are blown all the way back by a strong gust of wind from the impact their enemy's fire doubt to the lion city walls.

while they're vulnerable and weak, Cragger commands for one more solid attack, sending his army upwards before he flies over beyond his own frontier. he scouts through the entrance of the temple, Laval attacking from out of nowhere and managing to take the crocodile king down with him. this being their final ever confrontation.

SEASON 1: FINAL BATTLE

The 2 once were Bestfriends hit the ground hard. Laval being the first to recover and immediately shout out to Longtooth to close the main entrance to the Chi. Cragger not allowing it to happen, so he throws his spear into the Lever of which lowers the lion head. its process on closing coming to a halt

without any words, Laval pulls his blade out. Cragger mocking him to surrender, stating that the Eagles nor the Gorilla's can help him win since they're all sustaining heavy losses as the Raven's blow away the Eagles one by one and the Rhino's use a chain to trip up the Gorilla's. not to mention his own people of which he stares at with a silent gasp, regroup while their tanks are scattered all over the place.

the duel begins with Cragger taking the first swing. Laval nearly falling over the ledge but is forced to a stalemate when he's in between both his enemy and the sharp end of Cragger's plane in auto pilot. the young Lion's cape being ripped. the duel continues, and when steel meats against steel, Laval asks Cragger on when the fighting will stop. Cragger answering "until I destroy you!".

pushing him back to the helicopter's rotor system, Cragger puts his blade to Laval's neck as the rest of his best friend's cape is ripped to shreds. they're put off guard though when Cragger's spear is forced out and causes the bridge to pull them both in. truly in the mood for vengeance, Cragger tries to tail strike Laval, and after one more attempt, Laval falls but hangs onto the ledge.

the two stare eye to eye with each other, Cragger mocking Laval on falling. then agreeing with him on how the fighting has to end, but with him being the successor. before he can take the final blow though, Laval tells Cragger to look behind him as he goes closer to the Lion Head. causing him to fall off, dragging Laval down with him.

while screaming in fear, the two finally reconnect. either by passion or just the effects wearing off, Cragger gets some flashbacks of goodtimes between him and Laval. the special one being them holding hands in friendship, them doing the same thing in real life. thanks to that, his red eyes disappear. it's too late though as Laval pulls Cragger above him while smiling.

later on..

Laval's crown is shattered into half, separated from his head.

Cragger recovers from the fall but is, on top of an unconscious Laval.

Cragger wakes Laval, whose energy slowly fades away.

with a soft voice, Laval gives his final words to Cragger, answering on why he saved him.

then saying, "there's always hope".

before the chi inside his body disappears. Laval being dead.

Cragger being speechless.

out of the dust, then comes Lagravis with a group of lions, who drops his sword due to his worst nightmare coming to fruition. He runs over to the corpse of his own son, screaming in pain as the rest of the lion's watch. Cragger being safe and hiding behind a rock while watching his friend be carried away by Lions. Lagravis staying back a few moments to mourn. Cragger on the other hand, picking up the crown and exiting the area.

HOPE ARRIVES:

Right outside of the city, Cragger's army is seen at a halt for an unknown reason. Cragger nowhere to be found. Woriz impatiently walks in front of everyone and demands to know from Crawley what to do next. Crawley answers “we wait for Cragger’s orders” then explains that he had to “check” on something.

While his army waits outside, Cragger climbs up the wall of the Lion Temple, which if you notice, has a giant symbolism to the season. He then rushes through the main room, slowing down for a second to witness the Chi Pool completely dried up. Knowing from then on that he has to try end this.

After walking through the hallway, he enters Laval's room. In terror and guilt, Cragger gasps and trembles for words as he sees his bestfriend's dead body, hidden from sight by his blanket.

Cragger, kneeling by his friend, apologizes to him in a heartbroken tone. Expressing his regrets, then, for the first time since the first episode excluding a few flashbacks, finally calls him his bestfriend while returning to him his broken crown on his head. still broken but pieced together.

Back outside, Lagravis delivers a speech for payback and to never surrender even if the odds are against them. He ends it off with his normal phrase and a Chi at hand, “use it well, use it wisely!”. The Lion Soldiers yelling “For Chima!” before charging themselves up.

The amount of Chi that's used spreads blue dust everywhere, Woriz preparing the army to fire at the enemy straight away when on sight. The troops aiming their big guns towards the entrance of which a surprisingly small force of warriors, including Lagravis, Eris, Gorzan and Rogon come charging out with speedors and a chi power up.

One by one they're eliminated by blasters, Lagravis being the only one left, yet he carries on without fear and roars straight at the enemy.

Cragger looks through the window of Laval's room, witnessing the destruction he brought by bringing a whole army of four tribes right to the Lion Temple's front door. He expresses his regret, wishing for time to reset so he could start over.

He then denys Laval to be dead, so he shoves and begs him to get up until...

The blanket falls off, showing something extraordinary, Laval is not dead.

As the blanket falls off, Cragger is shocked when underneath it, wasn't Laval's body, but sir punchalot instead and, a letter.

Cragger struggles for words in confusion, until he suddenly remembers how good an actor Laval was through a flashback. He reads the letter with a smile of his bestfriend being alive.

“To whom this may concern, I am not dead. Sorry to be so dramatic but it was the only way I could buy some time to do the one thing that will bring peace to Chima. There is still hope”

Cragger gets up with a spark of hope, expressing his happiness and saying “there’s always hope”. He then looks through the window and sees something hopeful coming their way.

Outside again, Woriz mocks Lagravis face to face while he lies down on the dirt with the rest of his small force. Lagravis smiles though, stating “help is on the way”. Woriz laughs at that statement, as he shows the Gorilla's, Rhino's, even the Bear's come from the woods and the Gorilla mechs in total chaos. Then the Eagle's getting shot down by the Ravens. But Lagravis still has hope though, saying the backup coming wasn't a “tribe”.

Confused, Woriz decides to wait on Cragger's return so they can figure out what to do with them. His dreams get ruined luckily, when Cragger arrives and suggests their freedom which confuses the wolf completely. Cragger denying the fact it's mean.

A roar is then heard, presumably Laval comes to everyone from the dust, with the legend beast. Crawley recognises the roar to be his, but questions it on the fact of him supposedly being dead. Lagravis fills a confused Woriz in, of Laval faking it and going to fetch the lion legend beast.

Even he gets confused too when Cragger excludes the word “lion” from legend beast.

Going to Laval's aid, Laval bring from the dust, the crocodile legend beast.

With a guest holding onto Laval's behind.

A BATTLE’S END:

Everyone is surprised on this sudden turn of events. Lagravis asking who the special guest is...

It being an amazing reveal as the face is shown.

Queen Crunket is confirmed to be alive.

Which means, Crominus should be as well.

Following this heartwarming reveal, all of the crocodile tribe kneels silently, and Laval helping down her majesty while answering his father, on the gorge not being certain death after all.

Overfilled with joy, Cragger rushes over to his mother and embraces her tightly. This being a very heartfelt reunion. Then, as they reunite, just like that the tribes come to a peace and Gorzan greets the crocodile legend beast by simply placing his hand on her snout.

After expressing his loneliness to his mother, Cragger thanks Laval for saving her and asks how. Being answered by Shadowind leading the young Lion into the edge of Chima from the Outlands, where both it and her was trapped in some mysterious spider webs. The 2 pull them out, Shadowind checking on the Queen who was then unconscious. For the first ever time, the mysterious masked rider, speaks while pointing toward Mount Cavora.

“For Chima!”.

Now that he's filled everyone in, Queen Crunket explains the enemy they're dealing with. New and evil tribes who want to steal all of Chima's Chi for themselves. Woriz complains that it's already too late, but is told that there's still more than what comes pouring out of Cavora. Warning them all that these tribes will return for the rest.

With the information that the legend beasts are kind of useless thanks to them being trapped as well. This shocks everyone to the peak. Her majesty only being able to hope for the defeat of these new tribes and the rescue of both the beasts and, Crominus.

Cragger gets more shocked on this confirmation, now needing answers. So he questions their survival. His mother explaining not the entire story, but the gorge just having tunnels down below of which they escaped from and where the tribes of the black cloud are now.

She begs the tribes of Chima to stop them.

“Or Chima will be doomed”.

Later on in night fall.

Laval sits by the forever rock and just reflects on everything that's happened, being accompanied by Cragger who feels awkward due to the same thing.

The plan is then said, the next day at Dawn, the strongest member from all the tribes (Blavnic, Eris, Laval, Cragger, Rogon, Razar, Woriz and Gorzan) will go to the outlands to rescue and defeat. After that, Cragger finally mends the 2's friendship back together.

To turn the fun up, Eris appears and questions theirs. Of which the bestfriends act more tough guy like. The female eagle gets awkward around them, informing them on other people arriving soon.

Razar, Woriz, Blavnic, Rogon and Gorzan arrive. A “dudes!” from Gorzan. A “bro’s” from Rogon. A growl from Woriz. A chuckle from Razar and a big snore from Blavnic.

The whole group shape themselves into a circle, saying what they'll miss then a random moment of relaxation happening. To end it off, Cragger delivers a small speech on surviving the outlands, the whole group bringing it in for all hands in the middle. Even Blavnic, slowly but surely.

Laval then talks about how they're partnership will mean they'll make decisions as a group, and will improvise on the little decisions. Cragger complaining playfully because of his knowledge of Lions being terrible at improvising. For payback, Laval calls an old trick called “Banana on the crocodile’s tail”.

Gorzan, on a rope lifts up Cragger's tail with a banana on it, Cragger complaining and telling Gorzan to put him down.

As they all laugh, the black cloud flies right past them.
