The Forbidden Five (also called The Five) are a group of evil Elemental Masters from the Ninjago theme and Ninjago: Dragons Rising.
Background[]
The Forbidden Five, unlike other Elemental Masters, did not draw their powers from the seven Source Dragons. Instead, their dark abilities came from Thunderfang, an evil dragon who had sought to become a Source Dragon himself. The Five eventually founded the Wolf Clan. They delved deep into their teachings and stumbled upon powers. They even created a sacred language called Theroxian, which granted them immense power when spoken. With their newfound abilities, the Forbidden Five developed a technique called Shatterspin, a variation of Spinjitzu, and began to embrace a darker path as a result, becoming agents of destruction. Their skills in combat and mysticism allowed them to wreak havoc on the Wyldness, nearly wiping it out completely.
Unsatisfied with just one realm, the Forbidden Five set their sights on obliterating all the realms, mercilessly eliminating anyone who opposed them, even the other Elemental Masters. However, before the Forbidden Five could invade the other realms, Egalt and Rontu utilized Rising Dragon to counter Shatterspin, resulting in the renegade group's defeat. Through the employment of a magical spell crafted by Gandalaria, the Dragon Masters banished the Forbidden Five to Nether-Space. In order to erase any trace of their existence, the Dragon Masters imprisoned all remnants of their legacy within the confines of the Shadow Dojo.
