When Part 3001 is linked mid-way through a sentence, should part really be capitalized? It doesn't really apply under the following rules in my mind, but they are the ones closest to the concept.
Proper names are always capitalized. A proper name is a name or a title that refers to an individual person, an individual place, an individual institution or an individual event. An example of that in action is:
We have a meeting with the President.<br>I want to meet the company president
or
The Government have banned something.<br>I feel governments should follow this rule
.
The title of a book, a play, a poem, a film, a magazine, a newspaper, or a piece of music, a capital letter is used for the first word and every significant word, e.g. The Silence of the Lambs.
Part xxxx should be capitalized. It's a particular thing. In other words a proper noun, which you capitalize. If it was just "part", then I'd say there is no need for the word to be capitalized since it is a common noun. Skdhjf(Talk!) 03:30, May 20, 2011 (UTC)

Well, I would suppose that technically, since it is not the title of a product or piece of media, or a title that directly refers to an event, person, place or institution, then technically, it should not be capitalized. -- stercus accidit -- cjc 18:45, May 20, 2011 (UTC)
