GA voting
The following section is preserved as an archive. Please do not modify it. The result was nominators no longer permited to vote on GA noms

Should we forbid nominators to vote for their own GA nominations, as it is already the case for FA noms? Forbidding this could make votes unnecessarily long but it's also somewhat strange to have an instant +1 (even worse when the nominator is an IG) when posting a nomination (It turns the required +3 quorum actually to a +2 quorum). --LegOtaku (talk • contr) 09:10, March 7, 2010 (UTC)

  • Any other opinions? NightblazeSaber 06:36, May 9, 2010 (UTC)
    • Any more? Should probably close this sometime... NightblazeSaber 06:46, September 1, 2010 (UTC)

  1. Seems fair to me- the nominator always votes for the articles they've nominated, so it's really unnecessary to even have it. And it makes things consistent with FA candidates. NightblazeSaber 10:10, March 7, 2010 (UTC)
  2. I still think we should leave the three support votes rule, even though the nominator isn't allowed to vote for it then. We have seen it in the past before, that if it is left long enough on the nomination page, we will get more than two votes. Samdo994 talk Contribs 26,533 edits 13:01, May 9, 2010 (UTC)
  3. I'm all for it.
