TGE and I were discussing over this on the Aragog article. The gallery's description had both sentences and descriptions, the description had a "." at the end, yet it isn't a sentence. For the Aragog article it read "Aragog chasing Harry.", which is not a sentence, it is only a description. A sentence would say "Aragog is chasing Harry." Can we please not place a "." at the end when it isn't a sentence for the gallery? Lego lord 00:21, February 28, 2011 (UTC)

Makes sense to me. I think. --Cligra 00:25, February 28, 2011 (UTC)
Yes, anyone else? Lego lord 00:26, February 28, 2011 (UTC)

I don't see the need for a period at the end of any line in a gallery. When it comes to captions for pictures, we have a few options:

  • Make every caption a sentence
  • Not make every caption a sentence
  • Make some sentences

The first requires a period after every one. The second doesn't. The third is what we have now, which can be confusing at times. BobaFett

I choose using the third, because some can be sentences like "Luke Skywalker appears in many Star Wars sets.", and things that are not sentences like "Luke Skywalker". I don't see how it is confusing. Lego lord 17:55, March 1, 2011 (UTC)

I still stand by my viewpoint that periods should follow a description or observation no matter what. It looks tidier! MillieMuddFan67 22:33, March 11, 2011 (UTC)
