Inventory?

Hi, im intrested on what we would do if we would inventory the set? would we do it on Article/Parts or would we just add the peices to the part pages and not have them on the set page kingcjc 16:22, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

• It sounds like a good idea to me to have the parts on a subpage of the article (Article/Parts as you suggested), but the piece page should probably also make reference to sets that they are in too NightblazeSaber 06:20, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
• I know this is an old page, but I'm liking the sound of this even more now we have more part pages. Maybe we could do this for some pages, and in the piece count in the infobox add a link to the inventory subpage? The only problem with this would be that an error for the automatic piece count category would be generated NightblazeSaber 05:24, October 30, 2009 (UTC)
• We could put the link directly onto the "Pieces" text. It's possible to make it a wikilink only if an inventory page for that article exists, so there would be no red links. We could also just add a link "view inventory" below. Also, it would be nice to establish a custom "Inventory:" namespace if we are really starting to make inventory pages. Those pages could be excluded from the standard searches or random articles, and maybe also from the pagecount. I already designed my suggestions for the part template with the idea in mind to transclude these boxes into inventory lists (thus the horizontal orientation). I also had the idea to have a custom "Part:" namespace, but this wouldn't be necessary. --LegOtaku (talk • contr) 07:28, October 30, 2009 (UTC)
• I agree, this would be a good idea. - Mageamooney.
• What about a collapsible == Inventory == section, with a table and the images of the parts, instead of having a newe page for the inventory? Samdo994 talk Contribs Special:Editcount/Samdo994 edits 11:12, March 20, 2010 (UTC)
