→ Lego set numbering system? |
What is the logic behind how Lego numbers their sets? Does it have to do with the number of pieces?
Thanks for any insight.
- I don't know (or think) if there is any logic to it, but that's just what I think. -Nerfblasterpro: It's Nerf, or Nothing! 17:16, November 20, 2009 (UTC)
- Im pretty sure the LEGO Group don't even know the answer to this riddle ! Gladiatoring 19:40, November 20, 2009 (UTC)
- It seems to basicly be a bit random, but I think sets from themes released over a few years have close numbering. (e.g. sets from Star Wars in 2008 will probably have similar numbers) Kingcjc 20:37, November 20, 2009 (UTC)
I know it has nothing to do with number of parts, it may have to do with what theme it is. Im guessing though, they probably just attach a number to each set. Also, the numbers i have noticed do stay within a theme for each year (Like in 2003 all Bionicle sets the first digit of the number sequence is the same) but im not sure if this continues for multiple years.Brickmacktalkcontribs
