Lol QCG request rules

As I've said, the QCG has about four active members, and so obviously you need more. The problem is, its very unlikely you'll get more.

"For a request to pass, there must be at least a +3 vote count and a 60 percent positive vote percentage. "

So, we have two criteria. Now, out of them four members, your very unlikely to get all four to vote. So the only way for it to pass both criteria would be an 100% vote.

So, Mr. Minifig, who we can all easily say is well-trusted here, gets told his nomination passed, and he is added to the list. However, since only 2/3 votes supported, instead of all three, he then gets told the next day he was failed, despite the clear majority.

So, if the QCG is going to need a 6/10 or over majority, an overall balance of +3 votes, and people opposing because they have only nominated class 2,3 and 4 articles, but not got any to class 1, then how do you get new members?

Surely just a desire to improve the site and a little experience of nominating articles is all that is needed? This is a position in a group that adds numbers to pages, not a group of world leaders with access to nuclear weapons.

Hell, this could have made a good rant blog...Oh well. - Kingcjc 08:39, August 4, 2011 (UTC)

Yes. Come on people. If it needs to be 60% support, look at it this way: if you divide 100 into three you get 33.333 percent. Well if I get three votes two support that is 66.666 percent. This is what happened and I would just like to have this resolved. Maybe I'm a crazy loon for sounding like this but that is how math works. klagoername that user
  • That time I told Skdhjf, I had a wrong calculation on the percentage thing. Your positive vote percentage was above 60 percent. For the other part, you did not have a +3 vote count. •myk 22:17, August 4, 2011 (UTC)

Why not switch to the new voting system? I thought that passed, but maybe I'm wrong. FB100Ztalkcontribs 20:37, August 4, 2011 (UTC)

That passed, I closed it. - nxt
