Special/Limited

Anyone know the difference between "limited edition" and "special edition" sets? (is there one? Both terms to me really just mean "sets we're going to give only to one or two stores, and they're going to put a big markup on them"). Any help in solving this would be appreciated. • I always thought that 'Limited Edition' means that they are only sold in a few stores, and that 'Special Edition' is a re-release of a set but with an included extra, such as a foam sword or a plastic rock piece, or an extra gold Kanohi mask in a BIONICLE set. - 07:37, September 21, 2011 (UTC)
I think they're two heads of the same coin. You could e-mail LEGO and ask them. --Berrybrick (Talk) 10:17, September 21, 2011 (UTC)
  • Actually, KoN is right I believe. Limited Edition refers to the stores it is available in, while special edition has to do with something else (Not sure if it's what King said or not, but most likely). -NBP 12:09, September 21, 2011 (UTC)
