Talk page spam deletions

is it okay for brickipedians to delete other people's talk page posts if they are spam ? Spiderlily

  • If it's definitely spam, than yes. NightblazeSaber 03:57, March 1, 2011 (UTC)
Please don't use that word, though. Spam is advertising. The word you are looking for is "nonsense" or a "disruptive post". Ajraddatz 05:06, March 1, 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, what he said. But they really should come up with a catchy word for "annoying useless post". NightblazeSaber 11:28, March 1, 2011 (UTC)
Vandals thats what mostly say. The Legend of Swipe Talk Alienconquestlogo1 - Down with vandalism 13:05, March 1, 2011 (UTC)
Shouldn't this apply to rude messages as well? LEGO Lord Talk 13,497 Edits! ---- LEGO LOTR is coming! ---- We're in the darkest hour
No, "rude" can be different to each person. Some people (Not being specific, just in general) take tips/advice as being rude, or anything to that effect. Rude is not nonsense, you'll know if it is. -Nerfblasterpro: Can you believe it's only been a year?Maverick 18:17, March 16, 2011 (UTC)
I'm talking about swearing and things in that nature. LEGO Lord Talk 13,497 Edits! ---- LEGO LOTR is coming! ---- reply back

I'd say when a clear swear word appears, it can be removed and be replaced by something, like *swear removed* or something. I don't know how that would apply to whole posts, though.  Samdo994 talk contribs  20:38, March 16, 2011 (UTC)

What exactly is a clear swear word? Gladiatoring says even "crap" is one. LEGO Lord Talk 13,497 Edits! ---- LEGO LOTR is coming! ---- reply back 21:20, March 16, 2011 (UTC)
Why would you ask?? :S Skdhjf(Talk!) 00:04, April 5, 2011 (UTC)
  • I'd prefer to not have anyone remove disruptive posts of my Talk Page because it's my choice whether I want to read or not, in which case I do want to read it. SKP4472 Talk 13,998 Edits! Devoted Editor of Brickipedia 07:31, March 21, 2011 (UTC)
I thought this was referring to the "Talk" namespace, not "User talk". If it does mean user talk, then per SKP. NightblazeSaber 07:42, March 21, 2011 (UTC)
I think that any user who sees something like this should just remove whatever little word(s) is/are considered as "spam". LEGO Lord Talk 13,497 Edits! ---- LEGO LOTR is coming!
I'd be open to Samdo's idea, but I would definitely oppose complete removal. NightblazeSaber 00:02, April 5, 2011 (UTC)
