FreeStyle was a theme from 1995 to 1998. Also see FreeStyle Promotion Sets.
FreeStyle was the successor of Basic and reprised its main aspect, creative building with simple, basic LEGO System bricks, as well as some of its features, such as the bucket sets. Thus, the theme could just as well be seen as a temporary rebranding of Basic, which was brought back in 1999, when the name FreeStyle was abandoned. Today, sets in this style are sold as part of the Bricks and More theme.
