- "Oh. It's you. Again. I'd hoped you had been eaten by a deer by now."
- ―GLaDOS in LEGO Dimensions
GLaDOS is a non-playable antagonist in LEGO Dimensions from the Portal franchise.
Background[]
Portal[]
GLaDOS was a creation of Aperture Science, a personality core designed exactly to be fitted as a central computer mainframe. When GLaDOS was officially activated, GLaDOS began killing most of its inhabitants by flooding the Enrichment Center with neurotoxin. However, only few if not only one of the staff such as Doug Rattmann had survived her attacks along with the series' main protagonist, Chell. Chell eventually became her first test subject. She confronts GLaDOS in her chamber at the end of Portal, which allowed GLaDOS to develop an even deeper hatred for her after she was awakened in the beginning of Portal 2.
LEGO Dimensions[]
GLaDOS appears as an enemy in LEGO Dimensions. When Batman, Wyldstyle, and Gandalf she says "...you're not her!" referencing Chell. Gandalf then asks her for cake. She says that they get a cake as a reward for being successful in a test. After finishing the tests, GLaDOS is teaching the heroes a lesson because they actually "broke the rules" what she understood as cheating. The three heroes defeated GLaDOS and grapped the cake with the help of Wheatley and HAL 9000. She said that the heroes weren't successful in her test, so she was disappointed, and let them go. After a while, the heroes came back to hire GLaDOS as a recruit at the fight against Lord Vortech. GLaDOS was trying to kill the heroes but Wyldstyle removed her immoral personality core and replaced it with the counterpart, so she changed her mind. She worked together with X-PO and the Doctor and created a prison, which would Lord Vortech lock away for eternity. After defeating the evil tyrant, GLaDOS returned to Aperture Science and made a report for Chell (in fact, she was "singing her report" as the original song "You wouldn't know"). The heroes then returned her immoral personality core, but instead bringing it back to its place, she cuddled it, showing that she enjoyed the adventure and (probably) missing Chell.
