Game Over is the one hundred and forty-fourth episode of Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu, and the sixteenth episode of season twelve.

Plot[]

Unagami, in his dragon form, emerges in Ninjago City searching for Milton Dyer and bringing with him many characters from the world of Prime Empire. Jay follows him aboard the Cyber Dragon, and reunites with Zane, P.I.X.A.L., and Wu. After learning that they have Milton Dyer with them, he advises them to head to the top of Borg Tower, feeling that Unagami can be reasoned with if only Dyer appears to him. He then takes off to intercept Unagami, while the others fight their way through Red Visors and the Brotherhood of Rats to reach the tower.

After an intense battle through the streets and skies of Ninjago City, Jay's dragon is destroyed, but he manages to reach the top of Borg Tower. He manages to calm Unagami somewhat by sharing his own experiences of abandonment and confusion, not unlike Unagami's own, before Dyer arrives. After a tense conversation, Dyer apologizes to his creation and offers to make amends by bringing Unagami home with him. Unagami accepts, and frees the entrapped citizens of Ninjago from Prime Empire while also giving the game characters he created a choice of whether or not to remain in this new world.

The Ninja, Scott, and others emerge from the game and are reunited with friends and family. While Okino, Racer Seven, and others eagerly enter Ninjago, the Red Visors and rats decide to return to the game world. Dyer and Unagami, hand-in-hand like any father and son, then walk off together.

Notes[]

  • Jay references his biological parents during his fight with Unagami. Cliff Gordon was revealed to be Jay's biological father in the season six episode Misfortune Rising. Jay's Mother was confirmed to be a previously seen Elemental Master of Lightning in the season seven finale Lost in Time.
