Hawkman is a Super Heroes minifigure who first appears in LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes and LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. He was physically released in 2015.
Description
Hawkman wears his golden helmet with wings on the back, a small, beak-like nose, and large eyeholes which are coloured in white. He has golden wings on his back which seem to be the same mould used for the Flying Mummies from Pharaoh's Quest, but much more flexible. He has bare arms and a muscular torso with no clothing except for two yellow straps coming down from his shoulders and around his side with his symbol, a red circle with a black hawk inside. He has red hips, with a yellow stripe spanning nearly the whole front vertically. His legs are green, but with red tights and boots with a vertical, yellow stripe printed on.
He has back printing of the backs of the yellow straps and lines to give his back more shape.
Hawkman carries a mace made from a brown rod and a grey gear. He is able to fly and has super strength.
Hawkman is an unlockable character in the portable versions and his minikit is found in the level Brawl at City Hall. He costs 100,000 studs.
Background
Prince Khufu and his lover Chay-Ara's souls were strengthened by Nth metal, a substance which could defy gravity. However, they were murdered by the evil priest, Hath-Set. Due to the Nth metal strengthening their souls, Khufu and Chay-Ara were continuously resurrected and destined to find love in each other before they would be murdered by Hath-Set's reincarnation and the cycle would start over again.
In his current life, Khufu is Carter Hall, an archaeologist. Carter discovered the dagger that the priest used to murder Khufu, received memories of all of his past lives, and recognized Shiera Sanders as Chay-Ara and Anton Haster as Hath-Set. Haster kidnapped Shiera shortly thereafter. Carter used created a hawk-costume and used Nth metal so that he would be able to fly and rescue Shiera, which he did successfully. He continued to fight crime as "Hawkman" and was eventually joined by Shiera as "Hawkgirl".
Hawkman and Hawkgirl joined the Justice League. Other members of the Justice League include Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, Aquaman, The Martian Manhunter, Cyborg, and at times Nightwing, Batgirl, Huntress, Supergirl, Zatanna, and Shazam!.
