Hela is the Asgardian Goddess of Death who was imprisoned for millennia. Released early by mistake, she quickly began causing all sorts of chaos, including sending Thor to the planet Sakaar and destroying his hammer.

- In the film, she is played by Cate Blanchett who also played Galadriel in The Hobbit & The Lord of the Rings trilogy in addition to as Irina Spalko in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
