IF-B,[1] abbreviated from Imaginatium Finder Bot,[1] is a Classic Space brick-built figure introduced in 1985.

Description[]

IF-B consists of 16 pieces, which are mostly bright blue bricks and grey plates commonly available in LEGO sets (especially Space) at the time. A pair of transparent yellow Round Plate 1X1 - Tr. serve as its eyes. The bright blue Roof Tile 2X2/45° Inv. on its lower body is printed with a computer screen and several buttons. Each arm is a grey Metal Detector attached to a bright blue Angular Brick 1X1 shoulder. Its neck is a grey Turn Table 2X2, allowing it to turn its head.

Due to software limitations, 55000 LEGO Universe does not feature any printing on IF-B's model.

Background[]

IF-B is a Classic Space Command robot at the MoonBase. Based upon its designation, its primary purpose is to locate Imaginatium, the primary product of the Lunar Mining Corps operations that can be refined into fuel rods that provide a highly-efficient, clean, and powerful source of energy for both the MoonBase and the home planet.[1]

In LEGO Universe, when the player arrives at MoonBase, IF-B and GD-B are seen outside the MoonBase dome during the fly-in cutscene.[2] Both robots are at the ancient Apollo Landing Archaeology Site, where the Lunar Lander can still be found years after its original mission.[1]

Notes[]

  • Since IF-B and GD-B are not meant to be interacted with in normal gameplay, going out-of-bounds on MoonBase would reveal them to be static models instead of NPCs; they have no animations, names, or dialogue.[3]
