K1 Robot is a Doctor Who minifigure introduced in LEGO Dimensions in 2015.
Background[]
The Experimental Prototype Robot K1 was a robot designed and built by Professor J.P. Kettlewell of the National Institute for Advanced Scientific Research from Living Metal. It was intended to replace humans in difficult and dangerous tasks, including mining and activities involving radioactive material.
Although it was programmed to serve Humanity and not to harm it, it was used by rogue scientists to steal components for a top secret and highly dangerous Disintegrator gun. The robot killed Kettlewell in the process and disintegrated him into atoms.
When Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart tried to destroy it with the captured weapon, he accidentially made it grow to enormous size and it went on the rampage.
It was eventually destroyed when The Fourth Doctor threw a metal destroying virus at it corrosing and shrinking it into nothing.
