The Kavinika is a BIONICLE combiner model which instructions were released in 2004. It can be built with the pieces of 8608 Vhisola, 8609 Tehutti and 8612 Ehrye. The instructions were included in the instructions of these sets.
History[]
The Kavinika species was created by the Makuta using Viruses and Liquid Protodermis as one of the Rahi to inhabit the Matoran Universe.
A population of Kavinika settled in Po-Metru in Metru Nui. They were later driven out of Po-Metru and "adopted" by Ga-Metru to use as guards. This caused a problem, as they were proven to be vicious, and sometimes attacked innocent Ga-Matoran. Trying to drive them away from schools and Protodermis labs proved extremely difficult. The Hapaka were once briefly used to drive them away, with mixed success. The majority of the Kavinika population continued to wander the outskirts of the Metru.
The Rahaga theorized that some kind of experimental substance leaking from a damaged Ga-Matoran lab was causing Kavinika to duplicate.
During the Visorak invasion of Metru Nui, some Kavinika escaped the horde and made it to Le-Wahi on the island of Mata Nui. These specimens later returned with the Matoran after Toa Takanuva's defeat of Makuta Teridax.
Abilities and Traits[]
This Rahi's defense is its sharp teeth and claws. With its claws, the Kavinika can climb buildings to hide.
