King Théoden

Poisoned by evil powers, King Théoden of Rohan is a shadow of the king he used to be. His will is weak, and he is close to surrendering to the dark powers that threaten to destroy the sad remains of his desolate kingdom. Not even his loving and loyal nephew, Éomer can save him from the despair that has consumed him. Once restored to health and soundness of spirit by Gandalf, the King banishes Wormtongue from his hall and again leads his people with wisdom and bravery.
