LEGOLAND Discovery Center New Jersey is a LEGOLAND Discovery Centre that was opened on June 15, 2021. It is the first LEGOLAND Discovery Center in New Jersey, and features various attractions and rides as well as a 4D cinema, cafe, and LEGO Shop.


  • Imagination Express: This is no ordinary train ride! Travel through an interactive LEGO world full of imagination and color. Wave your magic wand to collect points as you go and see how your skills match up with the other passengers at the end.
  • LEGO 4D Cinema: Can you touch the stars in our LEGO® 4D cinema? Enjoy exciting LEGO movies with additional wind, rain and snow effects to really bring it to life and put you at the heart of the action!
  • Creative Workshop: Our Master Model Builder can create ANYTHING from LEGO bricks! Catch our special workshops that take place throughout the day to discover insider tips and super tricks on building with LEGO.
  • Miniland: Sneak a peek at our spectacular MINILAND. It's built from A LOT of bricks: over 1.5 million! Explore and play with our interactive models of New York City and New Jersey landmarks; see boats race and towers glow as the little land changes from day to night. Our mischievous Minifigures love hiding in MINILAND – who will you spot?
  • Meet LEGO Stars: You'll be able to meet your favorite LEGO® characters every day when you visit LEGOLAND® Discovery Center New Jersey! The best spot to catch your favorites will be at our Build Challenge Area in the center of the attraction! Say hello to Kai, Bertie and more of your favorites throughout your visit!
  • LEGO Ninjago Soft Play: Put your ninja skills to the test in the LEGO NINJAGO soft play zone! Explore the soft play structure, take part in ninja training exercises, and then put your build skills to the test on our NINJAGO build table.
  • Build Challenge Arena: Be a part of center stage! Listen to a story, use your imagination to build a LEGO creation, or meet with Bertie our LEGO mascot. Our continuously changing event area encourages parents and children to join in fun filled activities led by one of our Playmakers. Be sure to check the build challenge stage for event times!
  • LEGO Racers: Build and Test: Create an ultra-fast LEGO racing car at our Build & Test zone! Race your vehicle on the test track for the quickest time – will your car zoom across the finishing line first? Ready. Set. GO!
  • LEGO Friends: Heartlake City: Join the LEGO Friends in Heartlake City! Find out what the LEGO Friends like to do and help them build cool models in Heartlake City. Which LEGO Friend will be your new BFF?
  • DUPLO Park: Little builders can let their imaginations loose in our animal-themed DUPLO® Park! Build a colorful DUPLO flower for the garden, or wiggle and slide around the cottage and our special, big, soft bricks. Which animals will you spot?
  • Earthquake Tables: Ever tried to build the tallest tower imaginable from LEGO bricks? Take on the challenge at our Earthquake Tables. Test the strength of your brick tower when the tables start to shake.


  • By Car: American Dream is accessible via New Jersey Route 3, the New Jersey Turnpike, and New Jersey Route 120.
  • By Commuter Rail: East Rutherford is accessible by two different commuter rail systems at Secaucus Junction or Meadowlands station on various occasions.
    • NJ Transit provides access to the Discovery Center at Secaucus Junction in the town of Secaucus. It can be accessed via the Northeast Corridor Line, North Jersey Coast Line, Raritan Valley Line, Montclair-Boonton Line, Morristown Line, Gladstone Branch, Pascack Valley Line, Main Line, Bergen County Line, and Meadowlands Line (when it is active). From Secaucus Junction, the #356 bus offers transfers to the Discovery Center. Meadowlands station, which is only active on certain occasions, is in walking distance.
    • MTA's Metro-North railroad connects to Secaucus Junction on the Port Jervis Line. From there take the #356 bus to the Discovery Center.
  • By Bus: Bus service is offered throughout Northern New Jersey and New York that connects to the Discovery Center.
    • NJ Transit #355 offers service to the Discovery Center from NY Penn Station.
    • NJ Transit #356 offers service to the Discovery Center from Secaucus Junction and various local routes.
  • By Boat: NY Waterway offers service from West Midtown Ferry Terminal to Weehawken Port Imperial via the Weehawken line, where a connecting shuttle bus takes people to American Dream.

  • Annual Pass: Includes admission year-long for the cost of $79.99.
  • LEGOLAND Gold Pass: Includes admission year-long to all LEGOLAND Discovery Centers in North America as well as LEGOLAND California Resort, LEGOLAND Florida, LEGOLAND New York and various other Merlin attractions for $229.99.
  • Combo Experience: Includes dual admission to LEGOLAND Discovery Center New Jersey and SEA LIFE New Jersey for $43.99 for adults and $38.99 for children.

  • Groups: Groups of 10+ get $14 admission per child, including a free chaperone per 10 children and $14 admission for each additional chaperone.
  • Schools: School groups have discounted prices of $10 per student and a free chaperone per 5 children as well as $10 admissions for each additional chaperone.
  • Birthdays: Birthday packages include admission for up to 25 guests, as well as a private party room for an hour. It also includes a special LEGO chaperone, activity packs, soft drinks, cupcakes, and pizza for $749.
  • Scouts: Scouts groups of over 10 people are given discounted rates of $12 per person and a free chaperone per every 10 scouts.



  • The Discovery Center was supposed to be opened months earlier, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • This is the first LEGOLAND Discovery Centre to be opened in New Jersey.
  • This is the third LEGOLAND Discovery Center to be opened in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States, along with LEGOLAND Discovery Center Philadelphia and LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester, making the Mid-Atlantic the most densely covered region in the world in terms of LEGOLAND theme parks and discovery centers.
  • The Discovery Center serves the New York metropolitan area, as does LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester and LEGOLAND New York. This makes the New York City metropolitan area the only metropolitan area in the world to be served by two Discovery Centers and one theme park.
