Revision as of 20:11, 13 December 2009

LEGO Games is a line of tabletop games released by the LEGO Group in July 2009. Currently it comprises ten games in total, which are all newly developed games by LEGO in contrast to earlier LEGO board games that were just LEGO editions of classical games like chess or tic tac toe.

Details

3843 Ramses Pyramid

The setup of Ramses Pyramid features a pyramid made of LEGO bricks.

All of the game materials are made of standard LEGO elements that could also be found in any other theme, except some of the included minifigures, which only take up a 1x1 area, and a special die that is also found on the logo of the LEGO Games line.

Most of the games feature a board which has to be built up prior to playing the game. 3843 Ramses Pyramid involves a pyramid as central part of the gameplay.

All of the games make use of the construction toy character of LEGO pieces: some of them centering around building small models while others require to rearrange or rebuild certain parts of the game's setup during gameplay.

New elements

Die

A characteristic new die element is included in every game. All of the die's sides have a 2x2 array of studs. Depending on the game, specifically designed 2x2 tiles are placed on the sides. Making it a common element as well as a distinguished piece of the respective game.

Minifigures

New single-piece 1x1 minifigures serve as tokens in some of the games. They are printed with several patterns depending on the respective game, looking, for example, like astronauts, mummies or ancient soldiers.
