LEGO Hobby Sets were an effort to capture the attention of Hobby Shop buyers of the 1970s. Each set would include enough pieces to build a miniature replica of the item advertised on the box. Seven sets were made between 1975 and 1976 before the line was cancelled. The 1975 wave was based on iconic cars of the past, while the 1976 line included a train and two motorcycles whilst including one past car.
