Notes[]
- This is the second LEGO video game to have a season pass. The first was LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham.
- The model for Manhattan was previously used in its predecessor, but with a few differences.
- During free roam in the Manhattan hub, Agent Coulson will alert the player via visual coms to random recurring mishaps, voicing his congrats to the player after completed.
- The first is stopping purse snatchers
- The second is stopping muggers
- The third is stopping reckless drivers, with dialogue from radio police.
- This is the second handheld LEGO video game to feature an open world. The first was LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins.
- It is also the first portable LEGO game to have DLC.
- One of Coulson's lines in the Manhattan hub is "Not like I need a hand or anything, why do I have the feeling I'm gonna regret saying that?" is a reference to the second season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
- When Human Torch's is introducing to the player in at the S.H.I.E.L.D. Base he almost mentions Johnny Storm, but stops due to copyright issues with FOX owning Fantastic Four characters at the time. This also happens during his dialogue with Blazing Skull.
- One of the missions inside the Hellicarier is a reference to the scene of Tony Stark eating blueberries in the first Avengers film, which was improvised by Robert Downey Jr when he got hungry.
- If both freeplay characters are set as Moon Boy and Devil Dinosaur, Moon Boy can ride on the latter while the player controls Devil. The same can be done with Moon Girl and Devil in the sequel.
- In Washington D.C., when doing Crystal's mission, she talks about her husband. It is unknown if she is referring to her marriage to Quicksilver or Ronan from the comics.
- This is one of the few LEGO games in which all puzzles and quests are still available after collecting all achievements.
Differences from the films[]
- Alcoholic beverages were replaced by cups of pink slush drinks with straws.
- Swear words were removed in order for the game to keep its E10+ rating as well as The Lego Group's stance on making their games more approachable to a younger demographic, although the word "breast" was still intact during the climax.
- A lot of conversations between characters are shortened drastically, or made more comedic to make the game more lighthearted.
- A majority of deaths are censored, most infamously being Quicksilver's death in Age of Ultron.
- The first part of Rail Hydra was not a scene from The First Avenger.
