LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars is a Star Wars video game developed by Traveller's Tales and published by either LucasArts and Activision,[source?] and was released on March 22, 2011.[3] The platforms it runs on are Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, Playstation 3, PSP, Xbox 360 and Windows PC. The game continues from both LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy and LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game.
It includes characters from both series of the Clone Wars, as well as some from the rest of the saga. It is also meant to include new battle modes, head-to-head player combat, and an upgraded level builder. New abilities for characters include squad command, lightsaber slicing, lightsaber jumps, long distance Jedi attacks and grapple tie-ups, picking up droids, and stepping on certain pads in which Jedi perform "combo moves" to destroy certain objects. It also have an all new, easy to navigate hub. There also is walkthrough PRIMA GUIDE available.
The game was first announced on February 8, 2010.
Nintendo have announced it will be released on the Nintendo 3DS. [2]
Like the other TT LEGO games recently produced, the game will feature a "central hub", where players can choose to purchase upgrades and select levels to play. The hub for LEGO Star Wars III will be the Star Destroyer Resolute and the providince class ship The Invisble hand. [4]
A new feature to be included in the game is player-versus-player combat, where each player will build LEGO bases and defend them. [4]
Vehicle levels have been upgraded slightly. Now the player can land their ship and begin fighting on foot. All the original elements seen in the previous Star Wars games will return.
There are 20 story missions and 40 bonus levels. This is the biggest lego game so far in the terms of new features scince Lego Star wars
The game is to be considered the most detailed LEGO game ever to be put into production. Details include being well polished with realistic lighting, shadows and textures. The game has sharper graphics and can render over 200 characters on screen at once. [5]
