The Legendary Dragon is a green, fire-breathing dragon from the Ninjago theme.
History[]
The Virtues of Spinjitzu[]
The Legendary Dragon appeared at the Monastery of Spinjitzu and took Master Wu as a captive, much to the shock of his Ninja students. The six of them attempted to rescue their master from the beast, but the dragon fought and dodged them before flying through a portal. The Ninja pursued it and found themselves in a chamber of a pyramid from the Desert of Doom, where the Fire Dragon and Thunder Dragon awaited them. After briefly appearing alongside its fellows, the Legendary Dragon departed through yet another portal, with the other two dragons carrying the Ninja through after it once Cole had made his way across the chamber's lava pit.
This portal brought the Ninja to Prime Empire's Speedway Five-Billion track, where Lloyd spotted the dragon making its way through yet another portal. The Ninja would travel through this portal, and yet another, before once again seeing the dragon in what appeared to be the dungeons of Shintaro. It made its way through yet another portal with Wu, which the Ninja passed through to find themselves seemingly on the Island of the Keepers. Here they at last caught up to the dragon, in companion with three similar but differently colored dragons, inside an energy dome their vehicles and dragon mounts were too large to enter.
When Kai entered the dome, the Legendary Dragon threw Wu to the ground, and the Ninja began to battle its smaller compatriots. These vanished as they were defeated, and the Legendary Dragon launched an attack at Wu only to be thwarted by Kai and then struck and seemingly destroyed by Lloyd. Wu then revealed that the dragons' attack and the challenges they Ninja had subsequently faced were all a test orchestrated by Wu to help the Ninja relearn the six primary Virtues of Spinjitzu. Lloyd was thus led to question whether any of what they experienced had been real; Wu responded vaguely, and was the only one to see the Legendary, Fire, and Thunder Dragons perched briefly on the roof before they departed.
Dream Team[]
Lloyd rides the dragon while his friends make use of their vehicles from the battles with the Vengestone Army in the dream of a young Ninjago fan named Jan and his friends. When Grimkeepers appear to menace the Ninja and children, the Legendary Dragon appears frightened, and Lloyd encourages it to depart.
