Lilly is a historical character in Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu, having been the Elemental Master of Earth. She inherited her role and powers from her father, and later passed them on to her son Cole, whom she had with her husband Lou.[1]

History

As heroic as her father and son, Lilly studied under Master Wu and went on a number of adventures, apparently without the company of fellow Elemental Masters or Ninja. Her escapades included dealing with a rogue band of Serpentine and traveling into the Underworld, where she spied on Garmadon and Samukai and learned of their impending plans to abduct Dr. Julien. In what would become her most significant act as a Ninja, Lilly ventured into the Dungeons of Shintaro to save the native Munce and Geckles from a vicious dragon, Grief-Bringer. She destroyed the dragon, and gave the Blades of Deliverance to the Munce and Geckles as a gift.

However, Lilly received a type of illness sometime after, and eventually passed away as a result. Before they parted, Cole promised his mother that one day he would do something to make her proud of him. Lilly expressed that she already had pride in her son, but made him promise that he would always stand up for what was right. Her death contributed to a rift between her son and husband, as the way Lou went about grieving for his wife was utterly baffling to Cole.

Many years later, Cole would be forced to enter the dungeons himself after encountering a Geckle named Gleck, who carried with him Lilly's necklace.
