Marvel Studios, also known as Marvel Cinematic Universe, is a licensedsub-theme that was first released in 2012 as part of the Marvel theme and based on the films and series of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Since then, many sets, video games, and minifigure exclusives have been released based on various films and series.
So far Phase 1 has by far received the least LEGO sets, with only 2012's The Avengers getting LEGO sets, presumably due to the fact that. although Marvel was acquired by Disney in 2009 (the same time as LEGO's deal with Disney had started), the Avengers was the only Phase 1 film to be distributed by Disney, as all other Phase 1 films were distributed by Paramount. 2008's Iron Man however, got a single set in 2021 - 76190 Iron Man: Iron Monger Mayhem.
Thor: The Dark World is the only film from Phase 2 not to have received any LEGO sets.
Phase 3 of the films is the only phase where every single film has received a LEGO set.
What If...? is the only television series to receive a LEGO set. The other series either received none or only minifigures from 71031 Marvel Studios Series.
2020 has the least amount of sets within this subtheme, with two sets, both from Black Widow. This is presumably after the film was delayed into 2021 from the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as most sets that year being based on 2020's Marvel's Avengers. Later the COVID-19 pandemic was concluded in 2022.
