Background[]
Michael is Elliott and Gertie's big brother. He sometimes teases his younger siblings on most occasions. After meeting E.T., Michael became more compassionate and caring. He helped his siblings take care of E.T. during his brief stay on Earth. Michael and his siblings helped E.T. build a makeshift communicator to 'phone home.' They succeed and E.T. returns home at the end of the film.
