Mikey (The Goonies)

Michael "Mikey" Walsh is a minifigure from The Goonies introduced in LEGO Dimensions in 2017.

Background[]

Michael "Mikey" Walsh is the de facto leader of the Goonies. He lives in the Goon Docks area of Astoria, Oregon. He is the younger son of Irving and Irene Walsh, and the brother of Brandon Walsh.

However, very little is known about Mikey's life before the events of The Goonies. When Mikey was younger, his father used to tell him about One-Eyed Willy, which inspired him to one day seek out Willy's treasure. Mikey led The Goonies on a treasure hunt for pirate treasure from the 1600s. On a rainy day, Mikey and his friends went up into the attic of their home and found a map leading to One-Eyed Willy's treasure.

Mikey has asthma so throughout the movie he is shown with his inhaler. At the film's end, he discards the inhaler, feeling he no longer needed it.

Mikey was portrayed by Sean Astin in The Goonies who also played Sam in The Lord of The Rings trilogy and voiced Raphael in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles CGI animated series. Astin also voiced Shazam! and Billy Batson in the DC Animated Universe, Justice League Action and LEGO DC: Shazam! Magic and Monsters.
