Moaning Myrtle is a ghost that lives in the 2nd floor girl's bathroom at Hogwarts. She appears in LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 in two variations (Normal and Swimsuit), whilst in LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 she appears as Swimsuit, classed as Moaning Myrtle.
Background
Myrtle Warren was a Muggle-born witch who attended Hogwarts in the 1940s. She was sorted into House Ravenclaw, though she was often made fun of by Olive Hornby. She led a miserable life until she was in the bathroom one day. Tom Riddle entered the bathroom, and as Myrtle left the stall to scold him for being in the girls' bathroom he ordered the basilisk to kill her. She became a ghost known as Moaning Myrtle, and proceeded to haunt the school. She was instrumental in solving many mysteries for Harry Potter, though she was always in a terrible mood while doing so.

- Her death was used to make Tom Riddle's Diary a Horcrux.
- Myrtle is a boss in the level "Tom Riddle's Diary".
- Myrtle has a crush on Harry, despite the fact that she is dead, and has once or twice spied on him.
- Moaning Myrtle's head seems to be similar to Professor Trelawney's face.
- She is the only ghost in the video game that can use a wand (she can only zap people and use Wingardium Leviosa with it though)
- Myrtle has only one variation in LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 which is the swimsuit variation that appears in the console versions of LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4.
