Morgan Elsbeth is a Star Wars minifigure introduced in 2023.

Background[]

Spoiler warning: Plot or ending details follow.

Born into the clan of the Nightsisters on Dathomir, Morgan Elsbeth watched as her mother and sisters were cut down by Separatist forces under General Grievous. Morgan was one of only a few survivors-along with Asajj Ventress-and was taken in by the nearby Mountain Clan. However, Separatist droids continued to search for Nightsisters, and Morgan was eager to continue the fight. She persuaded a handful of Mountain Clan women to join her, but they were no match for the droids. The leader of the Mountain Clan saved Morgan’s life, but foresaw the doom her quest for vengeance would lead to.

Some years later, Morgan attempted to ingratiate herself with the Empire by submitting designs for an advanced starfighter, the TIE Defender. However, the Imperial leaders she submitted her designs to were less interested in a costly, if effective, new starfighter and more in the resources of the system Morgan had come to represent as magistrate. Moreover, her constituents, upon learning of her failure, felt that they had been betrayed. Morgan did find one powerful ally, however: an Imperial admiral named Thrawn.

Even after the rise of the New Republic, Morgan Elsbeth continued to dominate her chosen world with the aid of mercenaries and a spear forged from beskar. Her rule would be challenged, however, by the former Jedi Ahsoka Tano. Morgan's attempt to enlist bounty hunter Din Djarin against her enemy backfired, as Djarin ended up siding with Ahsoka and Morgan's oppressed people against Morgan and her mercenaries. Former Jedi and Nightsister met in battle, and Ahsoka achieved victory before demanding to know the whereabouts of Thrawn.

Taken into New Republic custody, Morgan was rescued by Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati. With their aid and that of other mercenaries, including the reanimated Inquisitor Marrok, Morgan set out to find the long-missing Thrawn. They eventually succeeded in traveling to the world of Peridea in another galaxy, where they found Thrawn, his surviving forces, and a trio of Nightsisters known as the Great Mothers. However, they were pursued by Ahsoka, and Morgan-empowered and armed by the Great Mothers-was forced to face her to enable Thrawn’s escape. Though stronger and fueled by her love for Dathomir, Morgan ultimately perished at Ahsoka’s hand.
