Plot

Spoiler warning: Plot or ending details follow.

Following their success in finding the Traveler's Tree, Cole and his friends-including Krag-make their way back to the village of the Ice Fishers on Great Lake. However, they then spot Boreal on its way to attack the village, and rush back to defend it. The dragon soon begins its attack, and Kai attempts to fight it off with his recovering fire powers. Tragically, his strength proves inadequate, and the villagers-including Sorla-are all encased in dark ice.

The four Ninja and Krag decide to repair the Land Bounty and launch an assault on the Ice Castle. As Lloyd and Akita near the castle themselves, they decide to wait until dark to attack. Lloyd invites the lonely Akita to join the Ninja in traveling to Ninjago if they can find a way to do so, only for Boreal to appear. Lloyd enters the Titan Mech, and engages in a fierce battle with the evil dragon.

Unfortunately, Boreal overcomes the Titan Mech and tosses Akita aside when she tries to save Lloyd, but General Vex orders it to capture Lloyd rather than freezing him. Lloyd is brought to the Ice Castle and before the Ice Emperor; to his shock, he realizes that the monarch is none other than Zane.

Spoilers end here.
