Ngan Pa is an Adventurers Orient Expedition minifigure released in 2003. He is exclusive to the set 7417 Temple of Mount Everest.

Description[]

Ngan Pa has light grey legs, and an earth orange torso. He wears a fur-lined jacket which has a black belt and striped top underneath, and has dark red arms with black gloves. His face is yellow, and he has a small black Fu Manchu-style mustache. He wears a large furry black hat.

Background[]

Ngan Pa is a very greedy Yeti hunter, working for Lord Sam Sinister in exchange for treasure during the search for the Temple of Mount Everest. This makes him an enemy of Johnny Thunder.

In the online comics, Ngan Pa accompanies Lord Sinister when the latter captures the heroic adventurers in a net. Sherpa Sangye Dorje recognizes the Yeti hunter, implying that he has an infamous reputation. In the 7417 Temple of Mount Everest instruction booklet comic, Ngan Pa finds Lord Sinister after the latter was catapulted out of the temple by a trapdoor, and Lord Sinister tells Ngan Pa about the Dragon Fortress.

In the Orient Expedition board game, Ngan Pa is a "baddie" with +1 luck, +2 speed, and +2 strength skill factors. Like other baddies, he starts the game equipped with an item; the game's instructions show him with the musket, giving him a +4 bonus to strength. Players must battle him in order to get past him, with the winner taking the loser's item.

Of all named Orient Expedition characters, Ngan Pa has a notably small role in the storyline across its various media. He is completely absent from the LEGO Magazine comics, The Great Mountain Chase, and 4215473 Die Suche nach dem Goldenen Drachen; he only appears in one panel of the set comics; and he only appears in two panels of the online comics, without even a word of dialogue.
