The Octopus is a Animal Minifigure that has appeared in many LEGO sets within the Aquazone, Divers, Alpha Team, Pirates, and Harry Potter themes.
History
The figure made it's debut in 1995 with the introduction the Aquazone theme, and originally came only in black. Since it's debut, the black colored octopus has appeared in multiple sets. In 2008, the Agents themed set 8636 Mission 7: Deep Sea Quest was the first and only set to feature a glow-in-the-dark, transparent light blue octopus figure. The first Dark Red coloured octopus figure was featured in the Pirates set 6240 Kraken Attackin', as a mythical beast known as the Kraken.
