Description[]
Part 69597pb01 debuted, and was released exclusively, in Ninjago sets in 2021. It takes the appearance of an Amulet with a translucent purple with a pearl gold design of Wojira.
Background[]
The Storm Amulet was an artifact used by Wojira in ancient history to cause disorder amongst the Endless Sea. In one battle within the Endless Sea, the artifact was confiscated by Nyad; the first spinjitzu master of water and Nya and Maya's ancestor. After it's removal from Wojira by Nyad, it was given to The Keepers by the First Spinjitzu Master to prevent Wojira from using it.
The Storm Amulet was first physically shown in the episode The Keepers of the Amulet. Where Chief Mammatus reveals the artifact to the ninja, and later imprisons them due to the belief that they were attempting to steal the amulet, Unaware that their mission was to actually find Wu and Misako who went missing on the island. Later on Clutch Powers would make his first attempt on stealing the amulet to reveal to the explorers club, but is quickly electrocuted by Nya. Clutch would make a successful second attempt on stealing the amulet, replacing it with a false version of the artifact within the shrine Mammatus kept it in.
In Seabound, the amulet was sought after by Kalmaar after Nya had accidentally revealed the existence of the island of the keepers. After the Merlopians discovered the location of the Keeper's island, the Ninja attempted to travel to the island of the keepers to warn them of the upcoming Merlopian threat lead by Kalmaar. However, when given the amulet, Zane discovers and reveals that the amulet is fake, and the real one was at the explorers club after Clutch Powers stole it. Kalmaar would once again overhear the ninja in the Hydro Bounty, butchering the controls to leave the group astray on the island.
Back in Ninjago, Kai, Cole, Master Wu, and Ray quickly rush to the Explorers club, where Clutch presents a pseudo-version of his exploration of the island and how he had obtained the artifact. Which is interrupted by the latter 4 and Kalmaar. A pursuit endures for the storm amulet, now involving Lil' Nelson and Antonia who managed to grab ahold of the amulet. However they fail in stopping Kalmaar in retrieving the amulet. He is once again attacked by the formerly stranded group of Ninja, But Kalmaar tricks Nya into taking the fake one. In an interrogation with the Ninjago City police department, Glutinous reveals to the Ninja about Kalmaar's trick and him reawaking Wojira, causing the city to be alerted about the upcoming threat, and the ninja to prepare for battle.
In the battle within a partially submerged Ninjago city, Nya, now one with the sea after being distraught by Jay nearly drowning in the Ninja Sub Speeder, destroys the Wave Amulet. After the defeat of Wojira, the fate of the storm amulet remains unknown, as it vanished alongside Wojira.
