Background[]
Patty Tolan was an MTA Subway worker, who enjoyed reading history books. One day, she followed the mysterious Rowan North into a subway tunnel. Inside, Patty encountered a ghost of a criminal sentenced to the electric chair. She then reported her sighting to the Ghostbusters, then consisting of Abby Yates, Erin Gilbert, and Jillian Holtzmann. After the four women found the ghost, Patty decided to join the Ghostbusters' "club". Her uncle lent them a hearse to drive around in, while she brought some protective jumpsuits from the subway station. Patty used her knowledge of New York history to figure out why ghosts would haunt specific places, and also helped her teammates save the city from Rowan.
