Pollux is a Martian minifigure from the Life on Mars theme, released in 2001.

Description[]

Pollux uses the standard Martian build, with grey torso and legs and bright bluish green arms and head. His head is printed with eyes and drooping eyelids, and a large gas mask covering the lower half of his face.

In 5784 Soccer Mania, Pollux wears white clothing and is named Antares instead. This is not to be confused with Antares, whose likeness is used for a different Martian called "Guard" in the same game.

Background[]

Pollux appears in the GBA version of 5780 LEGO Racers 2 at the southeastern hangar, where he hosts the Mars Bonus Game (rather than Doc, who does so in other versions of the game). Pollux's minigame is the Tube Racing game, which entails the player racing down a tube, collecting gems, and avoiding obstacles. If the player collects 25 gems, Pollux awards them with a Car Bonus. At the end of the game, Pollux appears on Xalax alongside Slyboots, Cosmo Cool, and a Female Police Officer congratulating the player on beating Rocket Racer; however, Canopus speaks directly to the player while Pollux is only seen from behind and has no dialogue during this cutscene.

In 5784 Soccer Mania, Antares is part of the Martians soccer team, which challenges the player's team during their pursuit of the Brickster. Antares's stats (out of a maximum of 272) are 256 speed, 272 shooting, 224 passing, 240 tackling, and 48 goalkeeping.[1]

Notes[]

  • In addition to Pollux using Antares's name in 5784 Soccer Mania, the Самоделки comics and the LEGO Mania Magazine comic Adventures in LEGO World: Mars Madness erroneously use Pollux's minifigure to represent Antares.
