The Prime Empire Original Shorts are a series of shorts based on Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu. They serve as a prologue to the twelfth season of the series.

Shorts[]

Let's Dance[]

Let's Dance

At the Monastery of Spinjitzu, Nya suggest she and Jay take advantage of their free afternoon to do something fun. Jay has plans at the arcade, but Nya suggests that they take a dance class; he reluctantly agrees, as long as they keep it a secret. An overexcited and overdressed Nya struggles, but Jay proves to have surprising talent as a dancer and helps her. In gratitude, Nya accompanies Jay to the arcade, where he shows her his favorite game, which just so happens to be a dancing game and the source of his skill. Lloyd calls the pair with an alert about the Mechanic, but Nya insists on the pair playing a round on the machine before joining their teammates.

Upgrade[]

Upgrade

Using a high tech Chen's Noodle truck, the Mechanic robs a bank vault, and manages to escape from Lloyd, Kai, Cole, and Zane just as Jay and Nya arrive late. Returning to his home base, the Mechanic communicates with a mysterious benefactor who advised him on upgrading the truck. The Mechanic then shows off the truck's features to his henchmen, only to find his current mechanical arm prevents him from using some. He approaches his partner about the matter, and is given the blueprints for a more advanced arm with the ability to feel. In awe, the Mechanic questions who his ally is, and the mystery villain gives his name as Unagami.

Inside the Game[]

The Meaning of Victory (Part 1)[]

The Meaning of Victory

Inside the video game world of Prime Empire, the Speedway Five Billion is scheduled to commence soon, with a Keytana as the coveted prize for the winner. Competitors in the race include Hyper-Sonic in the Thunder Raider, Richie in a unique vehicle, Anthony Brutinelli in the Katana 4x4, and Racer Seven in the Jungle Raider. However, a surprise addition to the competition is Jay, who tries to warn viewers that the race is not what it appears to be. Before he can go on, however, he is attacked and forced to flee from a patrol of Red Visors.

Stowaway (Part 2)[]

The Stowaway

Continuing from the previous episode, Jay flees the Red Visors, eventually taking refuge in the cargo container of a car. Unexpectedly, the car is then driven away by an individual also fleeing the Red Visors, who pursue in vehicles of their own. During the chase, Jay gets knocked loose, but is able to help his unexpected ally escape the Red Visors. Jay's new friend introduces himself as Scott, who tells Jay "I've been waiting for you a long time."

Manhunt (Part 3)[]

Manhunt

Still on the run from the Red Visors, Jay and Scott don a pair of the enforcers' dropped helmets and attempt to pose as Red Visors. Unfortunately, the deception is quickly breached, and in the ensuing conflict Jay is recognized by several civilians as one of the Ninja. He and Scott manage to break away from their attackers, and Scott leads Jay to what appears to be an empty space. However, he then reveals a specially cloaked hideout that the two enter, disappearing from view before the Red Visors can catch up to them again.

Gayle Gossip: A Closer Look[]

Gayle Gossip A Closer Look

Gayle Gossip reports on the sudden and suspicious popularity of the new arcade game Prime Empire, which has resurfaced after development was cancelled years ago. Gayle interviews Lil' Nelson, who notes that even his mother has become interested in the game-so interested that he hasn't seen her in some time. Zane attempts to interject a warning into the interview, but is himself interrupted by an arcade owner pleased with his recent increase in business. Gayle continues her report, unaware that her warnings about the game's "dark side" are being fulfilled behind her, as a portal opens to allow Nelson into the game.
