Plot[]

Looking to get back in shape, the Ninja decide to go on a quest, but Lloyd annoys Wu by seeking his advice; disgusted by his students' laziness, Wu orders them to find something themselves. Discussing the matter in their hot tub, the Ninja note that they have no villains to face, with Ultra Violet and Killow in prison, Master Chen deceased, Pythor missing, and Emperor Garmadon not currently posing a threat. They decide to head to Ninjago City in the Destiny's Bounty 3.0 to see if the Commissioner needs any help. Unfortunately, he similarly reports that things are slow and peaceful in Ninjago.

Desperate for something to do, the Ninja act on the promptings of Officer Jimmy, who comes in to report various disturbances. Unfortunately, these prove to be minor issues at best, with even an altercation at Kryptarium Prison turning out to be a minor dispute easily handled by Warden Noble. A supposed bank robbery turns out to be part of a film production, and the most grueling task proves to be helping out with police paperwork. Despondent, the Ninja return to the monastery, but are heartened by a news report on a mysterious ancient pyramid uncovered by archaeologist Clutch Powers. The jaded professor refuses to enter the presumably booby-trapped structure, and the Ninja see a perfect opportunity to sharpen their skills, not noticing an ominous figure depicted on a tablet on screen.
