R8-B7 is a Star Wars: The Clone Wars minifigure. He is an Astromech Droid, and appears in the set 7868 Mace Windu's Jedi Starfighter.

Description

R8-B7 is similar in appearance to any other astromech droid featuring dark grey legs and body with printing similar to that of R3-D5 except in gold. The dome is earth blue with mostly gold printing.

Background

R8-B7 was Mace Windu's astromech droid during the Clone Wars. He co-piloted Mace's Delta-7B Aethersprite-class light interceptor. The droid was destroyed on Vanqor by two gundarks while Mace Windu and Anakin Skywalker were searching for survivors at the crash site of the Endurance after it crashed there. Boba Fett took down the ship in an attempt to kill Windu to avenge the killing of Jango Fett.

Notes

• Despite appearing during the time of the Star Wars Expanded Universe, now referred to as Legends, R8-B7 does not share the unique body and dome style of the R8 series astromech droid, an astromech model designed during the rule of the New Republic. Rather, he appears the same as an R2 series astromech.
