Ronan the Accuser is a Marvel Super Heroes minifigure that appears in 2014.

Background

Comics

Ronan is a Kree Accuser, in charge of enforcing the Kree law. The Kree attempts to add Earth to their empire has put Ronan in conflict with the Avengers and other heroes.

Marvel Cinematic Universe

Ronan is a Kree who finds himself unable to accept his people's peace treaty with Xandar, because of them murdering his ancestors, so he takes control of the Kree Empire, creates a Sakaaran army, and decides to assist the evil mad titan, Thanos, to further his goal of destroying Xandar. To retrieve an orb in exchange for Thanos to destroy Xandar for him. However, two of his highly skilled assassins, Gamora and Nebula betrayed him and their adoptive father, Thanos, while Ronan's agent, Korath, was killed. Ronan had also killed Drax the Destroyer's family.

However, Ronan managed to get the orb and when he discovered it contained an Infinity Stone, he betrayed Thanos and absorbed the power of the stone for himself to use it with the intention of destroying Xandar and Thanos. He failed, however, when he reached Xandar, the Guardians of the Galaxy, the Nova Corp fleet, the Ravagers and his fleet met in battle above the skies of Xandar and Ronan's ship eventually crashed.

Notes

  • In the film, he is played by Lee Pace who also played Thranduil in The Hobbit trilogy.
  • The physical minifigure is based off the film instead of comics.
  • He is only appeared in one set.
  • In LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2, his variant is based off the film rather than comics.
