Background[]

Sanji serves as the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates who dreams of discovering the All Blue, a legendary sea said to unite all four oceans and their marine life. As a child, he worked as a cook aboard the ship Orbit, which was later attacked by the pirate Red-Leg Zeff. After a storm destroyed the vessel, only Sanji and Zeff survived. Zeff sacrificed his own food supply to keep Sanji alive, hoping the boy would one day achieve his dream of finding the All Blue. Out of gratitude, Sanji became Zeff’s apprentice at the Baratie, a floating restaurant founded by the former pirate. His encounter with Monkey D. Luffy renewed his sense of purpose. Inspired by Luffy’s determination, Sanji accepted the invitation to join the Straw Hat crew and set sail, as he embarked on the journey to find the One Piece.
