The Scout Trooper, more commonly known as just a Biker Scout was a Stormtrooper class. Scout Troopers were used for scouting areas, and usually carried lighter weapons. Many also had speeder bikes with them for scouting patrols. Before the rise of the Empire, Biker Scouts were Clone Scout Troopers, being very similar in appearance with white armour instead of camouflage.
They were used in the Battle of Endor and Battle of Hoth. There were many at the Battle of Endor, part of the Tempest Force assigned to guard the shield generator bunker.
They are usually lightly armed. Some carry rocket launchers. All biker scouts carry heat packs, water purifiers, camouflage tents, and several other items.
Working in teams of two, called "lances", they patrol perimeters of bases and outposts. On Endor, Biker Scouts are usually seen patrolling the perimeter of the Endor Shield Generator bunker. The teams of two are led by a sergeant.
The head of the Minifigure is usually a yellow one with large black glasses but some come with a pure black head like the 2 in 8038 The Battle of Endor.
On Hoth, they wore coats on their armor while patrolling the perimeter of the drop ships unloading the AT-ATs and HAVt B5 Juggernauts.
Most sets that have them include two of them, which is realistic since scout troopers work in pairs of two.
