Secret of the Jungle Shrine is an Adventurers Orient Expedition alternate model that was released in 2003.

Description[]

Secret of the Jungle Shrine is an alternate model of 7418 Scorpion Palace. Building instructions are available on LEGO.com's LEGO Club Buildits page. It consists of two models: the Portable Patented Laboratory and the Jungle Shrine.

The Portable Patented Laboratory is a small two-wheeled cart that is drawn by an elephant. The wheels are represented with the shields of Maharaja Lallu and his Scorpion Palace Guard. Dr. Kilroy sits in the cart and is able to view Marco Polo's map of India.

The Jungle Shrine is a small shrine using the same color scheme as the Scorpion Palace and other India sets, most notably the combination of bright yellow, white, dark grey, earth blue, and dark orange. The shrine has a secret entrance, represented by a vertical trapdoor covered by an ornate Indian tapestry. A transparent red gemstone is placed on a pedestal inside the shrine.

Background[]

In India, Dr. Kilroy uses his Patented Portable Laboratory to follow an ancient map to the Jungle Shrine. He must discover the shrine's hidden entrance in order to find the treasure inside.
